Chapter 10
Eternal Verity for Chapter 10
I am joyous freedom!
A Prayer of Oneness
I recognize the Divine love
is the flame that burns everything away
with only God remaining.
Turning form into fire, now purified,
Spirit shines tenderly and true.
Refreshing as a lotus flower,
as bright as the North Star,
is what I know I am
when I realize my Oneness in God,
Hearing the Divine voice,
it makes my voice as boundless
as the grace of God's.
I am intimate with the All,
knowing nothing except knowing God,
and I know the source of knowing.
I throw off the robe of this mortal coil,
peeling myself of myself,
no longer body but pure essence.
My awareness dances free in the harmony
of creation and re-creation,
as I believe in the totality and oneness
of the grander Divine picture.
I melt like running snow
from the mountains to streams,
from gardens to flowers,
my soul is flooded by God's sparkling waters
bursting forth lushness to blossom
God's good on Earth as me.
The Divine in me IS me.
I awaken from forgetfulness,
transcending all anxieties and distractions
to dwell in the Oneness of this moment.
I know how exalted I feel
and I rise to the divine fullness
of Being one with God.
Moved to an even higher consciousness
of the Infinite expressing as me,
the fragrance of God's heart blesses my world.
Deeply grateful for the wealth of good
expanding my awareness, I trust
by allowing myself to be in the flow
with this Divine Current.
And so it is.

Zen Story
When Tired
A student once asked his teacher, "Master, what is enlightenment?"
The master replied, "When hungry, eat. When tired, sleep.”
Enlightened
One day the Master announced that a young monk had reached an advanced state of enlightenment. The news caused some stir. Some of the monks went to see the young monk. "We heard you are enlightened. Is that true?" they asked.
"It is," he replied.
"And how do you feel?"
"As miserable as ever," said the monk.
